Long before Gaudí, five centuries earlier to be exact, Bellesguard was already a powerful site within the county city. The entire area was frequented and inhabited by kings, queens, and major figures of the political and cultural life of the time, such as Elisenda de Montcada, Martin I the Human, Margaret of Prades, Violant of Bar, Bernat Metge, Benedict XIII (better known as Pope Luna), or Cecilia of Urgell.
This route connects Bellesguard with the Pedralbes Monastery, two monuments that share a common geography and history. A journey through time to an era and a landscape where, instead of apartment buildings and streets, there were palaces and convents amid streams, fields, and forests.
