Calendar: Experience Christmas at Bellesguard!

By: The Bellesguard Team

A morning filled with history, art, and fun. That’s what we propose to you from Torre Bellesguard this Christmas. We blend Christmas and Gaudí with a unique activity: a Christmas trencadís workshop. With Mosaiccos, you’ll discover one of Gaudí’s most fascinating techniques and, in addition, explore one of the most unique Gaudinian buildings. A cultural and playful experience for the whole family, and as a keepsake, you can take home a Christmas piece made with your own hands to adorn your home during the holidays.

This experience will take place on Saturdays, December 23rd and 30th. We will start at 10:30 a.m. with the trencadís workshop lasting approximately one hour, followed by a guided tour with an audioguide at Bellesguard.

You can choose among four Christmas shapes to hang on the tree:

A ball, a star, a tree, or a heart.

You also have the option to make a Christmas tree with a base to place on the table.

Once you’ve decided on the object, you’ll need to choose the colors and start creating the trencadís. With glasses and pliers, you’ll cut the ceramic to the size you need and glue it onto the object. After finishing one side, you’ll need to do the other. It’s up to you whether you want to continue with the same design or make it entirely different. When you finish, you’ll leave your piece with the Mosaiccos team for the mortar application and start the tour of Torre Bellesguard.

As you finish, you’ll be given your audioguide so you can follow the outdoor route at your own pace. Once inside the house, a Bellesguard staff member will guide you through the indoor spaces. The tour concludes at the top of the terraces, where you’ll enjoy the best views of Barcelona and the entire city at your feet.

Above all, don’t forget to pick up your Christmas artwork when you leave to decorate your home for the holidays. A reminder of a unique experience in a Gaudinian setting and with all the magic of Christmas.
